You also invest in the EDNZ team - who are economic development champions, committed to empowering and enabling individuals and organisations either practicing, or associated with, economic development across Aotearoa New Zealand.

 

Individual Membership 

EDNZ offers an affordable individual membership for anyone interested in or practicing economic development.

Benefits include -

  • An ongoing, comprehensive and stepped series of professional development opportunities (online and face to face) that enable professional certification that is recognised and valued by employers

  • Networking opportunities at a regional and national level

  • The latest news and events within economic development nationally and internationally

  • The opportunity to have input into EDNZ submissions on matters of national importance to economic development

  • An annual conference with a bespoke designed stream of seminars that reflect the issues and preoccupations of individual practitioners

  • A national peak body that advocates and speaks with authority on behalf of the interests of practitioners

  • A right to one vote in any ballot undertaken by EDNZ

  • The ability to nominate as a Board member

  • Ability to nominate yourself or others for an EDNZ Best Practice Award

  • Eligibility to become a ‘Fellow’ of the organisation subject to meeting all criteria

  • Use of post nominals – M.EDNZ or F.EDNZ

  • Discounted Professional Development fees

  • A recognised commitment to a code of ethics
     

Individual membership subscription is $350 + GST

Economic Development Agency (EDA)

For Local and Regional Economic Development Operators 

Economic Development Corporate membership is open to any EDA throughout Aotearoa New Zealand. 
 

Membership benefits include -
 

  • Five individual memberships depending upon the size of the organisation

  • The right to one vote for up to five memberships the organisation possesses at any ballot undertaken by EDNZ

  • A corporate presence on the EDNZ website

  • The opportunity to have input into EDNZ submissions on matters of national importance to economic development

  • The opportunity to have input into the shape of the EDNZ research programme

  • The opportunity to engage ‘certified’ practitioners who have an exemplary level of skills, expertise and knowledge in their chosen field of economic development and are committed to ongoing professional development

  • Access to hundreds of individuals working within economic development interested in the latest job vacancies

  • An annual conference with a bespoke designed programme, reflecting issues and preoccupations of corporate members

  • The ability to nominate for Board membership

  • The ability to nominate for an EDNZ Best Practice Award

  • The use of the EDNZ logo in economic development material – this is on the basis of EDNZ adopting an all care but no responsibility for the activities of its respective corporate members

Our Economic Development Agency Partners

Associate  Membership 

Open to universities and research consultancies willing to engage in a pro-bono research programme. Any entity registered as a charity with an interest in inclusive development or any non-EDA organisation engaged in economic development i.e. Council, Chamber etc.

Benefits include -

  • The right to one vote for five members the organisation possesses at any ballot undertaken by EDNZ

  • A corporate presence on the EDNZ website

  • The opportunity to engage ‘certified’ practitioners who have an exemplary level of skills, expertise and knowledge in their chosen field of economic development and are committed to ongoing professional development

  • An annual conference with a bespoke programme, reflecting issues and preoccupations of Associates

  • The use of the EDNZ logo in economic development material – this would be on the basis of EDNZ adopting an all care but no responsibility for the activities of its respective Associate members

  • Discounted Professional Development fees

  • Discounted Conference and Congress fees

  • Ability to nominate one person for Board membership
